ABOUT US

ACAI is a business association established in 2013, whose objective is to promote, regulate and develop the activity of real estate consulting, property valuation and management, mediation and monitoring of real estate transactions, as well as the defense, promotion and representation of the business interests of the sector.

ACAI's objective is to ensure total openness and transparency of the commercial real estate market, making it increasingly professional and adopting international best practices, with the goal of making the Portuguese market attractive and accessible to all international "players", whether investors, developers, financial institutions or occupants.

It is within this framework that, among other initiatives, it has promoted the LPI – Lisbon Prime Index, an index that collects and provides the main available data for the office market and which are the origin of the most diverse market studies.

This common foundation of ACAI members ensures the association's mission, seeking to promote actions with various representatives of public entities such as Municipalities, Government and Parliament, seeking together with other representative associations of the real estate market, an intervention to advance this relevant sector, which attracted an average of approximately 3,000 million euros of annual investment over the last 4 years.

ACAI members: B. Prime, CBRE, Cushman & Wakefield, JLL, Savills and Worx are responsible for approximately 95% of real estate transactions involving commercial property, through their provision of valuation, consulting and/or mediation services.

Together, over the last 5 years, these companies were responsible for valuing more than 118 million m² of real estate assets; placing 660,000m² of commercial space, 900,000m² of offices and 700,000m² of logistics and industrial area in Portugal.

ACAI brings together the companies that behind the scenes contribute to the resilience of the commercial real estate sector in Portugal and which serves as the foundation for the establishment of companies, logistics operators and retailers in our country; fundamental for maintaining a competitive productive fabric and ensuring a high employment rate.
